A former Green Party candidate in the Australian federal election was seriously injured during protests against a company supplying Israeli military equipment in Sydney.
The politician, who is a supporter of Palestine, suffered a serious eye injury following a clash with police.
The protest was held in response to the company’s activities; Australian authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
