The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned about the unprecedented water crisis in the Gaza Strip and announced that only one out of every 10 people in this area has access to safe drinking water; A situation that has endangered the lives of millions of people, especially children.

UNICEF announced in a statement that the severe water shortage in the Gaza Strip has reached a critical stage, and 90% of the population in this area is deprived of access to clean water.

About 600,000 people had access to drinking water for a short time in November 2024, but this access was cut off again, the statement said.
