Indian commander Sophia Qureshi, who led Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, told a news conference that Pakistan targeted schools and hospitals in its attacks on Srinagar, Udhampur and Ontipur air bases on Saturday morning.
Sofia Qureshi added in this press conference that this action shows Pakistan’s desire to target civilians.
In this press conference, Indian officials also denied Pakistan’s claim of destroying the 400-S defense system.
Meanwhile, with the escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has offered to mediate between Islamabad and New Delhi to reduce tensions in a phone call with Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir.
The phone conversation between Munir and Rubio took place when Pakistan announced this morning that it had launched a retaliatory operation against India.
