Burhan Kuroglu, the Turkish ambassador in Nouakchott, was appointed as the ambassador of Ankara’s embassy in Damascus.
Kuroglu will temporarily serve as the ambassador of the Turkish Embassy in Damascus.
Earlier, Türkiye and Qatar announced that they will reopen their embassies in Damascus.
This decision was taken after Bashar al-Assad’s government fell on Sunday.
