The Wall Street Journal has claimed that since the start of Operation Epic Fury, Iran has carried out more than 2,000 missile and drone airstrikes against US bases, damaging 20 facilities in 8 countries.
According to this report, the damage to American equipment and facilities was estimated at about $13 billion, and 42 American aircraft were destroyed or damaged.
The newspaper also claimed that the United States is not adequately prepared to defend its bases, and that Congress and the Pentagon are faced with the choice of spending money to protect troops and facilities or facing more serious consequences in the future.
