US approves $8.6 billion arms sale to Israel and three Arab countries

The United States Department of State has approved the sale of military weapons worth more than $8.6 billion to Israel, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.

This arms package includes advanced defense equipment, support systems, and military ammunition, the stated goal of which is to strengthen the defense and deterrence capabilities of these countries in the region.

Analysts believe that this action was taken within the framework of Washington’s security policies to maintain the balance of power in the Middle East and strengthen its allies, especially in the context of increasing tensions with Iran.

This decision also comes at a time when the United States is trying to expand its military and strategic cooperation with the Gulf countries and the Israeli regime and enhance its role in the region’s security equations.
