Ukrainian officials announced that at least nine people were killed and 22 civilians were injured following overnight Russian attacks on Kiev with ballistic missiles and drones.
According to the Associated Press, a five-story residential building in the Solomiansky district was damaged and caught fire after being hit by missile debris. Rescue workers rescued 35 people, but two died and eight people, including two children, were injured.
Also in the Darnitsky district, Russian attacks destroyed homes, cars, and office buildings, killing seven people and wounding 14 others.
The attack came two days after widespread Russian attacks in various regions of Ukraine, in which at least 10 civilians were killed and more than 50 injured.
