The United States Air Force has announced that for the first time, a Spirit B-2 stealth bomber has successfully fired an LRASM long-range anti-ship cruise missile during a military exercise in the Northern Mariana Islands.
According to American officials, the test was part of an assessment of the operational capabilities and development of the combat capabilities of the country’s strategic bombers.
Previously, the ability of the B-2 bomber to carry and fire LRASM anti-ship missiles had not been officially announced, and this action is considered a new step in strengthening the deterrence and offensive capabilities of the US Air Force.
