Kremlin: Zelensky’s letter receives to Putin
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Volodymyr Zelensky’s open letter to Vladimir Putin has been received, reviewed and will be reported to the Russian president at the appropriate time.
Peskov also said that if Zelensky wants to meet with Putin, he can travel to Moscow. These comments came after the Ukrainian president proposed in an open letter to hold a meeting with Putin in a third country.
In this letter, Zelensky proposed an end to the conflict and called for direct dialogue with the Russian president.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum that if Kiev is willing to make peace, Russia will find people in Ukraine who can sign a peace agreement.
He also reiterated that Zelensky’s presidential term ended two years ago and Moscow can only sign official documents with “legitimate” representatives.
