Russia: Europe has lost up to a trillion dollars by abandoning Russian energy resources
The Russian Foreign Ministry has announced that the European Union has suffered losses of up to $1 trillion as a result of abandoning Russian raw materials and energy resources.
Dmitry Birichevsky, head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department for Economic Cooperation, said the losses were due to purchasing energy at higher prices from alternative suppliers.
He added that sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines and the European Union’s sanctions decisions have fueled the increase in these languages.
The Russian official emphasized that the abandonment of Russian raw materials and hydrocarbons due to rising prices has caused significant losses for Europe.
Russia has previously stated that Western countries have made a big mistake by refusing to purchase Russian energy resources.
