More than 60 people killed in clashes in South Kordofan, Sudan

The Sudanese Doctors Organization has announced that more than 61 people, including 9 children and 5 women, have died as a result of the past two weeks of fighting in the city of Kawda, located in South Kordofan state.

The organization also expressed deep concern about the increase in violations of the rights of civilians in the conflict areas, saying that reports and testimonies from survivors indicate an escalation of the humanitarian crisis.

Clashes continue in Sudan, while human rights organizations have repeatedly warned about the situation of civilians and the spread of violence.
