Ukrainian officials announced that at least 7 people were killed and 49 others were injured following widespread Russian missile and drone attacks on the cities of Kiev, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhia.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia used 41 missiles and 125 drones in these attacks; the Ukrainian military claimed to have intercepted and destroyed 18 missiles and 108 drones.
Local authorities have reported damage to residential buildings, business centers, and urban infrastructure; Volodymyr Zelensky has also emphasized that strengthening air defense systems, especially against ballistic missiles, is a top priority for Ukraine.
