Noor Mohammad Mutawakel, Consul General of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Mashhad, met with Dananjaya and discussed the establishment of a tripartite coordination committee with Tara, Head of the UNHCR Representative Office.
According to the Afghan Consulate in Mashhad, the committee was established in collaboration with the General Directorate of Citizens and Refugees of Khorasan Razavi and aims to address the economic and identity challenges of Afghan refugees.
The meeting also emphasized the need to increase the absorption of international funds for the development of educational and health infrastructure.
The two sides have emphasized expanding cooperation to financially support Afghan refugees and improve their situation in Iran.
