The Iranian Radio and Television Agency has announced that no delegation from this country has traveled to Islamabad so far and that all reports about the dispatch or arrival of an Iranian delegation are false.
According to this report, since Saturday, some international media outlets, including American media outlets, have published news about the time of the Iranian delegation’s arrival and even holding meetings on Monday and Tuesday, which is not true.
Meanwhile, Iranian officials have emphasized since Sunday evening that they will not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats and violations of commitments, and have considered continued participation in the negotiations dependent on a change in the behavior of the American side.
This is despite the fact that a Pakistani diplomatic source had previously told Al Jazeera that the initial Iranian delegation had arrived in Islamabad and that an American delegation was also present in the city.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent also reported that the Pakistani government is interested in keeping the negotiations between the United States and Iran confidential.
