Fox News and the Axios news website have reported that a top-secret meeting was held at the White House between senior US military officials and Donald Trump about military options against Iran.
According to these reports, General Michael Eric Corilla (CENTCOM Commander) and the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff discussed possible new attack plans in a crisis room meeting if a decision is made to resume the conflict.
The report states that possible targets include Iranian military centers, command centers, and infrastructure, and are part of the options discussed in the “final strike” plan.
Reports also add that B-1 Lancer strategic bombers have increased their presence in the West Asian region and are on alert.
Fox News said that these bombers are capable of carrying heavy payloads and long-range weapons and can be used in military operations if ordered.
