The Spanish government has summoned the Israeli embassy’s chargé d’affaires following the arrest of activists on the Gaza aid flotilla and has strongly condemned the action.
According to reports, 175 activists, including 30 Spanish citizens, were arrested by Israeli forces in this event.
Meanwhile, New York Mayor Zahran Mamdani has also said that Israeli forces have stopped a flotilla carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza in international waters off the coast of Greece and have arrested more than 175 people, including a number of New York residents.
He added that his team is in contact with state and federal agencies to investigate the status of the detainees.
According to him, this action is a clear violation of international law and all those detained should be released as soon as possible.
