The International Committee of the Red Cross condemned in a statement the brutal crimes committed by the Israeli regime against Lebanon after the ceasefire was announced, stating that the intense Israeli attacks have caused widespread death and destruction in densely populated areas of the country.
The committee explained that heavy explosive weapons with widespread effects have targeted densely populated residential areas, including Beirut, without any prior warning.
The International Committee of the Red Cross stressed that any comprehensive regional agreement must take into account the safety, protection and dignity of Lebanese civilians, and that the Lebanese people urgently need an end to violence after more than five weeks of conflict.
