Osama Hamdan: Talking about handing over weapons to the resistance is pointless

On Wednesday , senior member of the Hamas movement, Osama Hamdan, strongly criticized the Israeli regime’s obstruction of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and emphasized that in light of the occupiers’ breach of the agreement, any talk about handing over weapons to the resistance is impossible and futile.

Hamdan considered the Israeli regime’s ultimate goal to be the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and said that the occupiers are deliberately disrupting the activities of humanitarian organizations and preventing aid from entering Gaza.

He called for the acceleration of the arrival of fuel and relief aid and the full reopening of Rafah port from both sides.

A senior Hamas member described Donald Trump’s recent statements in support of Netanyahu as part of America’s usual and biased positions toward Israel, adding that Washington is obligated to pressure the occupiers to fulfill their commitments under the ceasefire agreement.

Referring to the efforts of mediators in Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye, Hamdan warned that the Zionist regime is pursuing a policy that goes beyond military war, which is the evacuation of the original inhabitants of the Palestinian territories.

He considered Israel’s move to recognize Somaliland as part of plans to forcibly relocate Palestinians.

This Hamas official praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, emphasizing that no Palestinian has the desire to leave their land, and called on the international community to stand against the Zionist regime’s efforts to expel the Palestinians.

Hamdan also dismissed rumors of a leadership vacuum in Hamas following the assassination of senior commanders, saying the movement now has a council of five prominent figures who are running things with complete order.
