Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the regime will continue its military presence in southern Lebanon and will remain in the security zone for as long as necessary.
He emphasized that Israel will not tolerate any attack against its forces or the regime’s territory and will exact a “heavy price” from Hezbollah for any action.
Netanyahu stated that the purpose of the continued military presence in southern Lebanon is to protect the settlements and residents of northern Israel.
These statements come as Israeli army attacks on various areas of Lebanon continue and tensions remain on Lebanon’s southern borders.
Previously, US President Donald Trump had claimed that he could prevent Israel from continuing its attacks on Lebanon, but reports indicate that Israeli air and military attacks are continuing in southern and eastern Lebanon.
