Pakistani media reported that the bodies of an Afghan woman named Fatima (35 years old) and three children named Sonam (11 years old), Arezo (3 years old) and Arman (2 years old) were found hanging inside a residential house in the Sindh Sohrab Goth area of Karachi yesterday .
Arezo and Arman were Fatima’s children, and Sonam is Najibullah’s daughter from his first marriage.
The local police have described the incident as a suicide in their initial investigations, but emphasized that the final conclusion will only be determined after a full examination of the evidence.
Najibullah, Fatima’s husband and a citizen of Pakistan’s Punjab province, was questioned by police and Fatima is an Afghan citizen.
