6.8 million Afghan refugees return after Islamic Emirate returns to power
The Minister of Refugees and Repatriates of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced that about 6.8 million Afghan citizens have returned to Afghanistan from neighboring countries and some other countries forcibly or voluntarily since the Islamic Emirate came back to power.
Maulvi Abdul Kabir said that another 1.3 million people have been displaced inside the country during the same period due to natural disasters.
This official of the Islamic Emirate emphasized that managing the massive return of migrants and supporting internally displaced persons is one of the major challenges facing the government and requires long-term planning and international cooperation.
The meeting was held with the aim of developing a comprehensive plan for a permanent solution to the issue of migration and the sustainable return of migrants.
