The Afghan embassy in Tehran announced that 211 Afghan prisoners sentenced to prison in Iran have been successfully transferred to the country.
According to the embassy, this transfer was carried out with the special guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and their continuous efforts based on the agreement on the “Transfer of Convicts between the two countries.”
This operation was carried out in coordination with the Iranian Ministry of Justice and the country’s Prisoner Transfer Committee.
This action was taken in line with the implementation of bilateral agreements for the transfer of convicts and the continuation of judicial cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran.
