23 children die in Sudan from acute malnutrition
The Sudan Doctors Network announced that between October 20 and November 20, 2025, at least 23 children in the country’s South Kordofan state died due to severe acute malnutrition and severe shortages of food and basic necessities.
The organization warned that the ongoing civil war, blockades of areas, and disruption of the humanitarian aid chain have severely worsened the situation of children in areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces and other conflict areas.
Sudanese doctors stressed that these figures are only those recorded in limited health facilities and that the actual number of victims is likely much higher.
