On Monday, the International Committee of the Red Cross handed over 9 Zionist prisoners from the Palestinian resistance as part of the first phase of the prisoner exchange agreement.
Sources have reported that four of these prisoners suffered serious injuries due to the Israeli regime’s attacks on Gaza and are in critical physical condition.
According to CNN, the process of releasing prisoners began at 8 a.m. on Monday.
The Israeli army radio also confirmed that the operation to release Palestinian prisoners from the regime’s prisons has begun.
Also, Israeli TV Channel 12 announced that the regime’s air force helicopters had landed at Ra’im base to transport the prisoners.
The exchange is part of a ceasefire deal brokered by Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye, which is reportedly aimed at ending the 15-month conflict in Gaza.
