Pakistan’s imports from Afghanistan increase and exports decrease in August
Pakistani media reported that the volume of trade between Afghanistan and Pakistan reached $143 million in August 2025, a 4 percent increase from July.
This statistic was published based on information from the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s imports from Afghanistan increased by 50 percent from $37 million in July to $55 million in August, the report said.
Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan fell by 13 percent from $102 million to $88 million.
These changes indicate relative stability in trade relations between the two countries at the beginning of the 2025-26 fiscal year.
