According to Iranian media reports, Iranian President Masoud Pezzekian arrived in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, on Wednesday morning (20th of August), at the official invitation of his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
According to ISNA, during this official visit, in addition to meeting and holding talks with the President and Speaker of the Belarusian Parliament, the President will also meet with Iranians residing in the country.
Also, during this visit, several cooperation documents will be signed between Iran and Belarus, which are expected to help strengthen bilateral relations in various fields.
This visit is a continuation of the Iranian government’s efforts to expand diplomatic and economic relations with countries in the region and the world, and according to informed sources, it could be a turning point in Tehran-Minsk relations.
