Another disaster in Gaza destroys airlifted aid packages to refugee camp

In a heartbreaking incident in the Gaza Strip, humanitarian aid packages that were airdropped over a tent camp for Palestinian refugees caused heavy casualties and material damage by falling directly on the tents.

The incident, which occurred yesterday, Friday, August 8 destroyed several tents, and according to local sources, at least 3 children were killed and 11 others were injured, 7 of whom are in critical condition.

The UN Palestinian Refugee Agency, while condemning this method of distributing aid, announced that no humanitarian aid, including medicine and medical equipment, has entered Gaza through land ports for more than five months.

The organization emphasized in a post on the social network X that the airlift of aid continues despite repeated warnings from international organizations that it is costly, ineffective, and dangerous, and cannot meet the needs of two million people at risk of famine in Gaza.
