Trump accuses India and Russia of dead economies, warns Medvedev
US President Donald Trump strongly criticized the economic relations between India and Russia on the social network SocialTruth, stating that he doesn’t care what India does with Russia.
Referring to India’s high tariffs and America’s meager trade with Russia, Trump called the two countries “dead economies” and said they could bring down their dead economies together.
He also launched a scathing attack on former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, calling him a “failed former president who thinks he is still president” and warning him to be careful with his words because he is entering very dangerous territory.
The comments came after Medvedev criticized Russia’s foreign policy in a post on the Internet and warned that his new ultimatums were a threat of war.
Trump also announced on Wednesday that he would impose a 25% tariff, along with a penalty, on India’s continued purchases of Russian military and energy equipment starting August 1.
