The headquarters of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) hosted a meeting attended by the organization’s coordinator and representatives of the national governments of the member states.
The organization announced that Valery Semirykov, the acting secretary general of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, had attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed and consulted on the security and strengthening of Tajikistan’s borders.
At the same time, the European Union has delivered advanced security cameras to Tajikistan’s border forces in order to support regional stability.
According to a statement published on Thursday on the official account of the European Union’s foreign policy department on the X social network, the equipment is provided to increase the operational capacity of the Tajik border forces using modern technologies.
Supporting Tajikistan’s border security comes at a time when the country has claimed security challenges due to its border with Afghanistan.
