Ayatollah Sistani calls for immediate action by the Islamic world to stop Israeli crimes in Gaza

The office of Grand Ayatollah Sistani, the highest Shiite authority in Iraq, issued a statement condemning the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip and calling on Islamic countries and the international community to take immediate action to end the humanitarian disaster in the region.

The statement states that nothing is expected from the occupiers except barbarity and efforts to displace the Palestinians, but Arab and Islamic countries must not allow this crisis to continue.

Ayatollah Sistani emphasized that these countries must use all their power to pressure the Zionist regime and its supporters to immediately send food and essential supplies to innocent civilians in Gaza.

Referring to the horrific images of widespread famine in Gaza broadcast by the media, he stated that these scenes do not leave any person with a conscience at peace and that one cannot remain indifferent to them.
