Macron fails to convince French students to stop protests

Representatives of French students, who have been protesting for weeks, have announced the continuation of their protest mobilization after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to reports, after Friday’s meeting, student representative Nathanael Kumbari called on protesters to continue their mobilization and protests.

According to Kombari, Macron proposed during the meeting to reform the system of democracy in schools and also to completely overhaul the government platform “Parcoursup”, an online system used to allocate places to first-year students at French universities.

Kumbari welcomed the fact that Macron had listened to the demands of representatives of student organizations, but stressed that the students were not yet satisfied and were waiting to meet with the prime minister.
