Reports of drone attack on cargo ship off Romanian coast

According to local media reports, a cargo ship named “Khoryv” and flying the flag of the Comoros Islands was targeted by a drone attack about 26 kilometers off the coast of Constanta, Romania, and capsized as a result of the damage; one crew member died and three others are missing.

Reports indicate that the ship departed from Turkey on October 21 and was heading towards Romania. Independent details about the perpetrator of the attack and how it occurred are still unclear.

Meanwhile, the published report claims that attacks on Ukrainian-related ships in the Black Sea continue, and that sea lanes near the coasts of Romania and Bulgaria have become one of the axes of tension between Russia and Ukraine.

Previously, Volodymyr Zelensky had called on the United States to pressure Russia to prevent attacks on Ukrainian ships.
