Five Lebanese citizens released from occupied Palestine with Red Cross mediation

The International Committee of the Red Cross announced that it has facilitated the transfer of five Lebanese citizens from Israel to Lebanon at the request of the parties to the conflict. Four were transferred today and the fifth yesterday.

The organization has emphasized that its role in this process has been purely humanitarian and as a neutral mediator.

The Lebanese President also appreciated the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross to release and return the first group of people detained in occupied Palestine.
