Experts: Pakistani conflict-based approach to Afghan-Pakistani relations should change

Pakistani experts and officials, in a meeting on Afghanistan-Pakistan relations, emphasized the need to move beyond a “conflict-centric” approach and focus on dialogue, economic cooperation, regional connectivity, and interaction between the people of the two countries.

This meeting was held by the Center for Regional Studies of the University of Peshawar in collaboration with ASPIRE-KP, with the participation of government officials, experts, ministers, former administrative officials, former university presidents, representatives of the trade and commerce departments, and researchers.

The meeting discussed current challenges and opportunities in Afghanistan-Pakistan relations and ways to strengthen peace and mutual understanding in the region.
