The Qalandiya camp in northern occupied Jerusalem witnessed a large presence of Israeli soldiers this morning, as armored vehicles and a national bus carrying soldiers entered the camp and surrounded parts of it.
According to local sources, a senior Israeli official, accompanied by the regime’s soldiers, entered the Qalandia Institute building, which operates under the supervision of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
At the same time, written warnings of home demolitions have been distributed among Palestinian families in the “Kafr Aqab” area near the separation wall.
Reports add that Israeli soldiers stopped an ambulance during the operation and held it there for a while.
Hebrew-language sources have also reported that a compound belonging to UNRWA in the Kafr Aqab area has been evacuated on the orders of Israeli authorities, a move that has been seen as a continuation of pressure on international organizations operating in East Jerusalem.
