The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the claim by British officials that Iran was involved in the security incident at the Royal Air Force Base in Farford, calling it an attempt to advance an anti-Iran campaign and evade accountability for Britain’s participation in the US and Israeli military attacks against Iran.
The statement states that the British government cannot use vague terms to evade political and legal responsibility for its accusations without providing credible evidence. The Iranian Foreign Ministry also called these claims baseless and held the British government responsible for their consequences.
The reaction came after Andy Burnham announced that the incident at the UK’s Royal Air Force Base in Farford was “almost certainly” directed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
