Iraqi users have posted images of a US military convoy that they say is transporting military equipment from Iraq to Jordan.
Iraqi sources say that as the deadline for the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq approaches, the process of transferring the country’s military equipment has begun; on Friday morning (27th of September 1405), reports were published about the movement of several vehicles carrying heavy equipment from the Kurdistan Region to the Anbar Province and then to the Jordanian border.
Rayber Ahmed, Minister of Interior Affairs of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, had previously announced that the international coalition forces under US command had begun the process of withdrawing from the Kurdistan Region.
According to the agreement between Baghdad and Washington, American forces must end their military presence in Iraq by September 30.
