Politico newspaper reported that a number of US Republicans are gradually expressing dissatisfaction with Donald Trump’s changing approach towards Iran, an approach that has sometimes focused on escalating economic pressure and sometimes on threatening military action.
According to the media outlet, the frequent changes in the Trump administration’s policy reflect the impasse that Washington has faced after months of war, a war that Trump initially said would only last about six weeks, and that his administration officials had repeatedly spoken of as ending and succeeding.
