Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, warned in an interview with Al-Manar Network that if the naval blockade against Iran continues, Tehran will target US economic interests “with severity and power.”
He has claimed that Iran broke the naval blockade during the ceasefire and exported about 70 to 80 million barrels of oil; according to Rezaei, Iranian oil sales have returned to pre-sanctions levels and new export routes have also been created.
Mr. Rezaei also called Beirut and the southern suburbs Iran’s “red line” and said that Tehran considers Lebanon’s security part of the security of the West Asian region.
He has stated that stopping the war in Lebanon and Gaza and the Israeli regime’s withdrawal from the occupied territories of Lebanon are among Iran’s conditions in any possible agreement with the United States, and has called the claims of a conspiracy against Trump’s son “fabricated propaganda.”
