Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has announced that it has summoned the US charge d’affaires in Islamabad following the remarks made by the country’s ambassador to India.
According to the ministry’s press release, Pakistan has objected to the US ambassador to India’s statement that “Jammu and Kashmir is part of Indian territory” and has submitted a note of protest to the US embassy’s chargé d’affaires.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry condemned the remarks and said Islamabad’s position on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir was clear and unchanging.
