The C919 single-aisle aircraft manufactured by Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has successfully completed its first international commercial flight.
Designed as a direct competitor to the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320, the aircraft was flown by China’s national carrier Air China on an international route.
The flight took off from Beijing Capital International Airport on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and landed in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, after about an hour and 40 minutes.
