China launches world’s first fully robotic hotel
China is building the world’s first fully robotic hotel, a complex where all main services, from welcoming guests to cleaning and security, will be performed by robots.
The project is being implemented on an artificial island located in the Shenzhen Zhongshan Sea Corridor in southern China and is set to become a symbol of technological advancement and artificial intelligence in the tourism industry.
According to reports, seven key areas of hotel service, including guest reception, luggage handling, room service, food delivery, housekeeping, security, and interactive guidance, will be completely managed by robots.
Guo Chung, technical director of Podo Robotics, said that all robots operate on a common platform and can coordinate and manage their tasks without human intervention.
