The United Nations Women’s Division (UN Women) has stated in a report on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate that women and girls in Afghanistan continue to face restrictions in the fields of education, health services, and participation in society.
According to the report, more than half of the women surveyed said they leave the house twice a month or less, and nearly three-quarters of them do not feel safe when going out without a male guardian.
The organization has announced that the employment rate of women in Afghanistan is seven percent and added that in 2026, more than 10.7 million women and girls in the country will need humanitarian assistance.
