Jeddah hosts signing of trilateral defense agreement between Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Pakistan

Al-Manar Network reported that Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan are scheduled to sign a joint defense agreement on Friday (7th of August) in the city of Jeddah in the presence of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to the report, negotiations on this agreement have been ongoing for a long time, but escalating regional tensions have accelerated its finalization process; speculation about the creation of a security alliance between the three countries has also increased in recent months.

Shahbaz Sharif and the Pakistani army chief arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, and Recep Tayyip Erdogan is also expected to arrive in Jeddah today.
