Millions of pilgrims attend Aba Abdullah’s shrine in Karbala on the occasion of Arbaeen, the day of Imam Hussein

As the Arbaeen Day of Imam Hussein (AS) approaches, millions of pilgrims from different provinces of Iraq and different countries of the world gather in the holy city of Karbala and hold special rituals for this occasion.

The Husseini processions, which have reached Karbala after days of walking from different parts of Iraq and other countries, provide services to pilgrims on the routes leading to the shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (AS).

The courtyards of the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) and the surrounding streets are today filled with millions of pilgrims who have gathered to commemorate the fortieth day of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).

The Arbaeen pilgrimage is considered one of the largest annual religious gatherings in the world, with millions of people from different countries attending Karbala every year to pay respect to Imam Hussein (AS) and the family of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
