Iran’s Foreign Ministry calls US attacks a violation of the agreement ending the war

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the recent US attacks on several inspection and monitoring centers on Iran’s southern coast, calling it a violation of the United Nations Charter and the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding to End the War.

The statement states that the continuation of military attacks, the cancellation of Iran’s oil sales license by the US Treasury Department, and other actions by Washington have rendered the essential parts of the understanding to end the war ineffective, and that the United States will be responsible for the consequences of the escalation of tensions.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has emphasized that the country’s armed forces will respond to any aggression in defense of its territorial integrity, national sovereignty, and security and will target the source of the attacks.
