World Bank: Food and Agricultural Systems Transformation can strengthen food security and employment in AFG
The World Bank has announced in a new report that transforming food and agricultural systems can help strengthen food security, create job opportunities, and increase economic resilience in Afghanistan and the region.
Based on this, the report states that Afghanistan, along with the countries of the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan, faces challenges such as climate change, water shortages, conflicts, and increased food insecurity.
The World Bank has emphasized that with extensive investment in improving the business environment and modernizing the food production and distribution chain, it is possible to create five million new jobs in the food and agriculture sector in the region, including Afghanistan, by 2050.
