New Russian attacks on Kiev: leave at least 8 dead, 34 injured

Ukrainian officials have announced that at least eight people have been killed and 34 others injured following widespread Russian missile and drone attacks on the country’s capital.

According to Al Jazeera, Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kiev city military administration, said that the attacks targeted several points in the city this morning, Thursday (2th of July ).

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko also announced that a part of a high-rise residential building collapsed following a direct hit by a missile, trapping a number of residents under the rubble.

According to the report, more than ten explosions were heard in the central and eastern parts of Kiev during the attacks, and the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of the approach of ballistic missiles to the city before the attacks.
