New details on the arrest of a member of ISIS Khorasan, who is carrying out propaganda activities in Turkish in Balochistan
Turkish media outlet Qise Dalgha reported that Ahmet Kazanci, a Turkish citizen who was recently arrested on charges of membership in the Khorasan branch of ISIS Khorasan, joined the group in 2024 and entered Pakistan after illegally crossing from Iran.
According to this report, Kazanji, under the aliases “Abu Obaideh” and “Abu Ibrahim”, worked in the media wing of ISIS Khorasan in Balochistan province and was responsible for producing posters and promotional content in Turkish.
The report also mentions “Abu Yasser al-Turki” as one of the key propaganda figures of ISIS Khorasan, who was arrested last year in a joint operation by Turkish and Pakistani security agencies. Kazanji said that his communication with this person was only through the Telegram messenger.
According to Kazanci, after a while, he decided to leave the group and intended to return to Turkey, but was identified by the Turkish Intelligence Agency and sent to prison after being transferred to his country.
