United States President Donald Trump issued a statement announcing that the agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran has been finalized.
Trump said in the statement: “The deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to everyone.”
He also announced that he had ordered the duty-free reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and at the same time authorized the immediate lifting of the US naval blockade against Iran.
The US President further stated that with the implementation of this agreement, commercial ships can resume their normal activities and the flow of oil from the region can continue.
At the end of his message, Trump referred to the resumption of maritime traffic and energy exports and said, “Let the oil flow.”
